This morning before we even got out of bed David turned on the television so we could see if we had to get up. There has been a promise of snow for a long time and today was that day. We watched all the school closings. One after another scrolled by and no Clinton Schools showed up on the list. EVERY district around us is closed....except us. We looked out the window and it is coming down pretty hard already. Humph. Oh well.
So up we go. Clothes on. Snacks packed. Shoes, coats, backpacks, etc. get loaded up in the car. And off they go. No sooner does school start and we get a phone call that school is being closed. Come get your kids. Ha ha ha. Snow day begins!
As soon as the girls got home, they were out in the backyard getting frozen by the not quite yet snow. They made a few "slush angels" and a "slush man." After a few minutes of that they are cold and decide to come inside. It's so fun to watch them in the snow. Each year we get one pretty good snow and each year it's like the first time they have seen it, all over again. I love it.

Don't you just love the snow? It snowed here just a little this morning and Easton said, Momma, we need to get our shoes and socks and hat and gloves to go outside. It was so cute, but unfortunately Lawson is still too little to play in the cold snow. Easton had to settle for just watching the snowflakes for a little bit. We didn't get enough to play in anyway.
I am glad and the girls had fun. Maybe ya'll can have some hot chocolate now. What fun!!! A snow day!
Snow yeah, what is that again? Not really sure down here in Florida. Hee Hee!!! I am glad the girls liked it. I hope to get Ava Rose up around some snow next year. I am sure she would think that it is just magical. She does like rain especially when Mommy lets her play in it. Good thing living in Florida we have plenty of rain. Free Funn Is The BEST!!!
