Tonight while we were sitting at the dinner table catching up from the day's events, we were asking Eden how her day went. She got all excited and told us that she got 2 sticks in her envelope today. (She was sitting nice and "quiet-ed-ly"!) David asked her how many that made total...she went back and forth from 6 to 11...we still don't really know. David trying to play "home-school" asked if she has 11 sticks, how many does she need to get to have 20. ( The magic number for the treasure box!)
He was holding up his hands to count the numbers for her.....
(Now this is tricky to type!)
On the first finger he said 12, second 13, third 14....and so on.
Well, that threw Eden off. She was saying 1,2,3,4,5...yadda yadda.
When she heard "13" she busted out laughing in a full blown belly laugh.
"Daddy doesn't know his LETTERS!!!"
She couldn't quit laughing.
And neither could we.........

David's New Job.
Now before everyone panics, David is STILL preaching in Choctaw! :) However, he is getting to fulfull one of his dreams. Coaching football. Because of the cut backs in our school system, many of the coaches had to be let go. This left one high school football coach with a lot of work ahead of him. Enter David. He has agreed to help our football coach for the upcoming season. I am excited for him and I know he will LOVE it. Now we have someone we know on the field at the football games. Go Yellowjackets!!!

Harding chapel.
I know TWO posts in one day! Feeling froggy I guess!
The whole time we were in college at Harding, David talked about speaking in chapel. But it never happened. Well....6 years later...he finally got to!
If you remember, after the tornado Harding sent over 800 students to help in relief efforts to our little town of Clinton. The next week David was asked if he would be willing to come and speak during the "Struggles of the Faith" week. Of course he said "YES!!!"
This past Friday was the day. We sat in the second row right in front of podium so he could see us. I am a little parital to my wonderful husbands speaking ability, but I think he WONDERFUL! But in usual preacher fashion, he went over time! Oh well.
So after 10 years of talking chapel....it happened! He got to say ...." You are dismissed."
Congrats, David....

Family Day!
After 27 straight days of David working 12 hour days....we are finally getting a family day! All the happenings around here have kept him jumping and then the tornado didn't help things at all. But I am stealing him all to myself (well, the girls too) this glorious day! I have no idea what we are going to do but we are getting out of town for awhile so he CAN'T help people. (Is that bad of me?) :)
Wish us fun as we are off to explore Arkansas!
